Athletics
Since starting the Athletics Program 5 years ago, God has truly blessed us with wonderful coaches and players. Our philosophy here for Midway Athletics is to honor our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in everything we do, whether it is on the court or on the field or in the classroom or outside the classroom. Our goal is to produce young men and women who want to be champions for Jesus Christ. Our Heavenly Father orders us in Proverbs 22:6 to “Train up a child in the way he should go.” It is our privilege to have this opportunity to instill this philosophy into our athletes and watch them grow and mature into Godly role models.
Basketball
The MCCS Lions Basketball program will begin its 4th season this year. The basketball program consists of both boys and girls JV (5th – 6th) and Varsity (6th – 8th) teams.
The MCCS Lions Baseball program kicked off its inaugural baseball
season in 2007. At the end of the season, they had an
outstanding record of 13-1. Boys in grades 6th through
8th are eligible to participate.

Cross Country
Midway had one of the school’s best years in 2006 as our cross country team took home the state championship. Our teams finished in the top 5 in each of the 4 competitions they ran. The cross country teams are comprised of both boys and girls grades 5th – 8th.
Cheerleading
Our cheerleading program supports the MCCS Lions Basketball teams. Girls in grades 4th – 8th are eligible to participate in this program.
