LUNCH PROCEDURE 2007 - 2008

PLEASE WRITE YOUR CHILD'S NAME ON THEIR LUNCHBOX WITH A PERMANENT MARKER.

*** Lunch order forms will be sent home MONTHLY and posted to the website - www.midwayschool.org

  • Orders may be placed weekly or monthly (NOT DAILY), however, MONTHLY IS PREFERRED.
  • Payment MUST accompany the lunch order.
  • Complete a lunch order form for EACH STUDENT. You may send ONE check for the family order and send ALL order forms and check with one student.
  • you MUST send an order form or note to EACH CHILD'S TEACHER.

Each teacher has to mark lunches ordered for his/her class on their classroom order form..

The orders are then sent to the office to be verified and matched up to the family check.

NEW FOR 2007-2008 SCHOOL YEAR

  • MONTHLY orders are due the week PRIOR to the month ordering.
  • WEEKLY orders are due the week PRIOR to ordering.
  • The menus are printed on a 4 week schedule not the exact month.
  • There will be DUE DATES printed on the menus and lunch order forms for your convenicence
  • Orders are due early to allow adequate time to verify payment, process and order the appropriate amount of food.
  • Parents may not take lunch boxes to the classroom. They must be left with the receptionist, CLEARLY MARKED WITH CHILD'S NAME (if not marked we cannot guarantee your child will receive the lunch).

CHARGES

  • Parents WILL NOT be called if a lunch is lost or forgotten.
  • If the lunch coordinator is notified by 9:00am, the student will be offered the hot lunch being served that day.
  • If the lunch coordinator IS NOT NOTIFIED by 9:00 a.m., the student may charge a PBJ lunch with chips, dessert and beverage (when available) or 2 snack items and a beverage.
  • A charged lunch should be paid for the next day. No charges allowed on snack items, beverages or extra entrees (unless due to a forgotten lunch).

CREDITS

  • Credit will be given for a pre-paid lunch if a student is ABSENT for the full day.
  • Credit may not be used to buy extra entrees or ala carte items.
  • Credit slips will be attached to the next month's menu and must be returned with the order form for the next month's menu.

BIRTHDAYS

  • Birthdays may not be celebrated in the lunchroom.

OTHER INFORMATION

  • Lunch boxes arriving late must be left with the receoptionist, CLEARLY MARKED WITH CHILD'S NAME.
  • If you are planning to bring your child's lunch, please BE ON TIME for his/her lunch period.

11:00 - 11:30 | K5 - 2nd grade

11:30 - 12:00 | 3rd - 4th grade

12:00 - 12:30 | 5th - 6th grade

12:20 - 1:10 | 7th - 8th grade

  • Students bringing their lunch from home should bring all necessary items needed to eat that lunch (napkin, utensils, beverage, etc.)
  • We DO NOT heat or refrigerate lunches.
  • Please do not send Gogurt, carbonated beverages, red beverages or grapes in your child's name on their lunch box.
  • Snacks and beverages available for purchase at .50 cents per item. Ice cream and Lemonade Zappers available for $1.00.
  • Snacks paid for at time of purchase. Do not include with lunch money or send bills larger than $5.00.

The lunchroom is currently located in the new fellowship hall of the church. THE FLOOR IS CARPETED. Please stress to your child the importance of eating and disposing of their lunch properly. Other food items may be restricted if students do not take care in keeping their area clean.
